“Microsoft Outage Live: Microsoft said its global outage started with a subset of its customers experiencing issues with multiple Azure services in the Central US region.”
What Caused Microsoft Error
Microsoft stated that the preliminary root cause was a “configuration change” in a segment of its Azure backend workloads. This change caused an interruption between storage and compute resources, leading to connectivity failures that affected downstream Microsoft 365 services reliant on these connections, the US-based company explained.

As per the latest and live update, from the Microsoft team “internal telemetry and customer signals” following issues have been resolved:
Microsoft Defender: Users might intermittently be unable to access the Microsoft Defender portal and could experience delays of up to two hours when raising new detections.
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint: Admins and users may encounter API request failures and errors when opening Alerts on the Alerts page.
Microsoft Intune: Users might experience device check-in, syncing, and enrollment issues.
Microsoft OneNote: Users could face difficulties syncing content, experience delays in notebook syncing, or be unable to open notebooks.
OneDrive for Business: Users might be unable to access OneDrive for Business content.
SharePoint Online: Users might be unable to access SharePoint Online sites.
Windows 365: Admins may face difficulties managing existing Cloud PCs or provisioning new Cloud PCs. End users in the affected region might be unable to access their Cloud PCs.
